VANCOUVER, BC–(Marketwired – June 22, 2017) – Genesis Metals Corp (TSX VENTURE: GIS) (“Genesis” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that a trenching program has begun at the Chevrier gold project (the “Project”) near Chibougamau, Quebec. The trenching will aid in the screening and prioritization of target areas for drilling. Drilling is expected to begin in July with full details to be disclosed in a subsequent news release by the Company.
- A total of 30 trenches are planned
- The majority of trenches are designed to ascertain bedrock sources for areas of anomalous induced polarization (“IP”) responses arising from the survey completed by the Company. IP typically responds to zones of disseminated sulphides that may be associated with areas of anomalous gold mineralization
- Several trenches will be designed to evaluate priority target areas arising from the property-wide compilation of all geo-scientific data for the Project
Genesis’ CEO Brian Groves commented, “We are pleased to announce the start of work on Chevrier. The trenching is the first phase of a more extensive program of work on the Project that will include prospecting, sampling, mapping and drilling.”
Mr. Andre Liboiron, P. Geo, Exploration Manager for the Company and the Qualified Person as defined within National Instrument 43-101 for the Chevrier Project, has reviewed the contents of this news release.
